they’re all co+hoots!
July 5, 2010
Have you heard about phx’s most recent most awesome idea? It’s CO+HOOTS, creative coworking for Phoenix. At their grand opening last Friday, First Friday and other visitors got a chance to meet some of the creatives who now call one of Phoenix’s original grocery stores home.
CO+HOOTS says this in a description about themselves: “Central Phoenix is quite unique. It is home to a range of independent artists, photographers, designers, web designers, writers, etc. who benefit from working together and are willing to grow through this model of collaboration but don’t have the space to do so in a professional manner.”

The JB Bayless building is at located at 825 N. 7th Street, just south of Roosevelt Street in downtown phx. It was built in 1926 and has been restored by Joseph Lewis, to earn National Historic accreditation. It boasts wood-beam trusses, stained concrete floors, concrete pillars, and exposed red brick. How awesome would it be to work in such an awesome historic building?
