{oosterdam} on board accommodations

January 12, 2012

Welcome to Holland America’s Ms Oosterdam! Over the next six days/posts, you’ll see so much from the Oosterdam you’ll practically be an expert. Over the New Year, SGT Fong and I went on a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Oosterdam. She’s 3 football fields long and can hold 2,000-some guests and just under 1,000 crew members.

Not having been on a cruise before, we didn’t really know what to expect, but found out that the Oosterdam is like a mini community and our room was most certainly like a hotel room complete with blow dryer, high-magnifying mirror, TV, and toiletries. If you never looked out the window, you’d barely notice you weren’t on land anymore. Only the toilet was a little different because its flushing sound was like that of a plane’s and there was much more closet space than a regular hotel room. Well, take a look at our luxurious accommodations!
