{milwaukee} garden domes – tropical
May 4, 2012

One of the last things we did in Milwaukee before we left to go back to Chicago was visit the Mitchell Park Conservatory — or better known as The Domes. It’s Milwaukee’s Living Landmark where you can experience a tropical jungle, a desert oasis, and a floral garden all within steps of one another.
The first dome we visited was the tropical jungle home to over 1,200 species of tropical plants and even some tropical birds that we could occasionally hear chirping and calling. Some of the more interesting plants we ran into were all spice, banana, star fruit, black pepper, star fruit, and macadamia nut.

Wow, didn’t know Milwaukee had this.
