{boston} famous ppl are buried here

A few stops after leaving Boston Common we arrived at Granary Burying Ground. Granary is one of three burying grounds on the Freedom Trail. King’s Burying Ground and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground are the other two. Burying grounds are unique in historic Boston because they continue to sit in their original locations so they seem to be randomly nestled between tall modern buildings. These burying grounds are also very important because they hold the final resting places of some very important figures in not just Bostonian, but American, history. I remember learning about all these people in AP U.S. History so it’s really neat to see their actual graves even if the tombstones themselves have been moved when some of the burying grounds were reorganized to be more visitor-friendly.
