{boston} site of the massacre

Around half way through the Freedom Trail, you’ll arrive at what’s listed in the handbooks as the Boson Massacre Site. Looking around all you’ll see is a large brick building and a circular formation on the ground outlined in cobblestone. But, of course, they’re not just lying to you; this is really the place where the Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770. It’s crazy to think that almost 250 years later, you’re standing in that same spot! And in fact, that big red brick building is actually the Old State House where the British Colonial government sat in the 1700s. The massacre incident occurred outside the balcony of the Old State House and is significant because it started a huge pamphlet war between those who supported and those who were against the colonial government. And, well, you know the rest.
