{denver} searching for tattered covers

April 7, 2015

Tattered Cover Book Store is famous in Denver. I love that because not only does it seem like the number of bookstores in Phoenix dwindles in a daily basis, Tattered Cover was born in Denver and has kind of become an institution. At this point, they have many location including one in Denver’s Union Station.

On the one hand we were looking for a reason to get out of the cold, but on the other hand, I did really want to see what this book store had to offer. I guess I wasn’t the only one because this place was crowded! In fact, it reminded me of what Barnes & Nobles used to look like when I was growing up. There were people from all walks of life browsing each and every section; there were people drinking coffee; and there were even chairs set up for the people who just wanted a chance to sit down and read. I imagine great book stores are gathering places in the community and Tattered Cover Book Store fits the bill!

pretty awesome that so many people were in this book store! I feel fewer and fewer people visit book stores anymore =(

It was much colder than I was expecting there, but this was definitely a cool bookstore!
