{seattle} roasting and tasting starbucks

April 22, 2015

One of the things Seattle is known for is being the birth place of the now universal brand Starbucks coffee.  You can’t be a tourist in Seattle without visiting the first ever Starbucks store across from Pike Place market!  But what might be even cooler is that Starbucks continues to innovate, and in December 2014, they opened their first ever Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room, a 2-story shop designed to be an all-immersive experience, part cafe, part roastery, and part restaurant.  There was also a gift shop attached. Take a look!

The front door sign!  Super fancy!

And I guess this counts as the “restaurant” portion. I don’t think they were really serving hot food anymore though by the time we arrived.   Good thing we had just come from dinner!

To be honest, I’m not a coffee drinker, so I didn’t actually try any of the coffees, particularly since it was nighttime when we went and the caffeine would’ve kept me up all night!  But as someone who almost never drinks coffee, I was still impressed, so I’m sure coffee lovers would almost feel like they are in heaven!
