{denver} molly brown’s house

April 25, 2015

The Molly Brown House is located in Denver’s Golden Triangle Museum District. Since we had some time to explore this area, I had actually really wanted to visited the Molly Brown House. It showed up on quite a few lists of must-see places. It’s too bad that just like all the other museums, we miss timed our visit and walked by on a Monday. The Molly Brown House Museum is closed on Mondays!

If you’re wondering who Molly Brown is, she is Margaret “Molly” Tobin Brown, the Titanic heroine who survived. It’s one of only a handful of sites nationally dedicated to the interpretation of a woman’s story. It’s website states that the “Historic Denver’s Molly Brown House Museum is committed to enhancing the city’s unique identity by telling the story of Margaret “Molly” Brown’s activism, philanthropy and passion through educational programs, exhibits and stewardship.” I would have loved to go ton the 45-minute tour of Molly Brown’s home and the various exhibits that are being displayed. Oh well, next time?

At least we got to walk around the outside though!
