{shenken} village view

May 4, 2015

While in Taiwan, I took a quick day trip to Shenken, located in New Taipei City, southeast of Downtown Taipei. Shenken is known for its old traditional street and its tofu.

This is part 3 of 3 about Skenken. See part 1 here and part 2 here.

When a tourist visits Shenken, you usually walk along the old traditional street, visit with the craftsmen, sample of treats, and sit down for a tofu meal. The last thing you expect to see is the rest of the township. Well, it just to happened that while in Shenken, I walked down a little alleyway while my grandmother was resting from all the walking and I came upon an incredible view. It was a beautiful shot of not only the river, but the farming that happens right along its banks. It was a blast from the past, but a reality for the farmers working the fields. Notice the green, totally enhanced by the dreary rainy mood!
