{sf} ghirardelli’s square

December 20, 2015

I’ve been on a touristy kick recently and what’s more touristy than San Francisco’s most famous chocolate company? Nothing! Ghirardelli Chocolate is sold everywhere, but it was born in San Francisco and Ghirardelli Square is always on the list of places to visit when you’re seeing this famous city for the first time. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure exactly what all the hype is about though because I don’t feel like the square itself is all that exciting or beautiful. The ice cream shop is ridiculously overpriced and the wait is at least an hour long. I guess you can always walk through the chocolate shop, be surrounded by thousands and thousands of chocolates, and then enjoy your free sample, but really, is that it? I wish there were more!
