{memphis} slave haven

May 7, 2016

Slave Haven is truly an interesting place to visit in Memphis. It’s for sure off the beaten path and doesn’t get that many visitors, but how often do you get a chance to visit a place that was for sure a part of the underground railroad and even get a chance to go down underground to where the hidden slaves hid?!? No photographs were allowed inside the building so I can’t show you any of the really cool stuff they had there or the actual cellar and trap door where they believe slaves hid, but you can imagine how cramped that space was!
