{slo} the old mission

August 16, 2016

One of my absolute favorite things to do while traveling is visiting churches. I think it’s because when I first started traveling solo in South America, I visited tons and tons and churches so I always associate visiting churches a way to start in a new city. San Luis Obispo was no different. Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa was founded in 1772 and is unique due to its interesting design that you won’t see anywhere else in California mission churches. I just loved the woodwork and detailed painting on the inside of the main building. What a lovely place to visit … besides, you get to hang out with some bear statues!
