{yosemite} the vernal falls

Since we hard started our Yosemite trip so early in the morning, we still had plenty of time after both the Upper Yosemite Falls trail and Lower Yosemite Falls trail to see more of this amazing National Park. We decided to take the very crowded shuttle over to the other side of the Valley where we could walk a trail then steep stone steps up to Vernal Falls. The first half of this trail is paved though quite difficult because it’s quite steep. I was quite surprised. The second half is called Mist Trail for a reason! It goes right along side the falls and you get misted while climbing up stone steps all the way to the top of the falls! It’s a little scary if you ask me … especially coming down … totally worth it though!
