{sd} italian festival eats

October 31, 2016

A couple of weeks ago, I went down to San Diego to visit my parents. We had a random 3-day weekend that not everyone gets off so flights were pretty cheap. It just so happened that it was the same weekend as San Diego’s Little Italy Festa! My mom read about the event in the local newspaper so we dragged my dad along with us to the event. I guess most cultures are the same because what’s really central to Italian culture is the food. There were lots of street food vendors and all the shops in Little Italy were wide open for customers, too. We decided to eat as we walked and ended up trying a bunch of different foods including octopus salad, 2 types of pizza, Italian sausage, and a cannoli. Yum!

Welcome to Little Italy!
