{berlin} german life, day 1

November 26, 2016

Europe has always been on my list of places to visit. I didn’t get a chance to go until this past summer though and I’m excited to finally get a chance to share with you all about my European adventures! The first country on this Euro trip was Germany. Essentially Germany was a quick layover that was extended into a three-day mini trip to Berlin.

I’ve heard so many great things about Berlin, especially how it’s become such an interesting city because of a great mix of cultures. It has a distinct vibe that’s unlike most other cities in Berlin and clearly we weren’t the only ones who thought so because there were tons of tourists here from all over the world. Here’s a look at our first day in Berlin, which included a few small pieces of the Berlin Wall, the famous Brandenburg Gate, the very interesting Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and the Reichstag building (and dome).
