{wroclaw} in a day highlights

December 24, 2016

After leaving Poznan (my first Polish city) and before heading to the bigger city of Krakow, I decided to spend a day in Wroclaw. Wroclaw is a funny city that is known for its gnomes – I’ll get into these in a later post. In the mean time, here are some of the highlights from the day spent walking around Wroclaw. Of course there was the Rynek (market square), which was filled with tents for a festival, but also known for its town hall and quite colorful buildings. I was able to visit quite a few churches in the central Wroclaw area, but the Church of St. Elizabeth was the best because its tower (that cost $1-2 to climb) led to a beautiful 360° view of the entire city! The best way to end the day, though, is to head to the Tumski bridge where all the couples put locks on the bridge so that they’re stay together forever – this concept is all over the world now, I guess!
