{palm springs} ruben + ozzy’s oysters

January 21, 2017

Happy Birthday Sanjie!

Another one of our family Palm Springs food adventures was at Ruben and Ozzy’s Oyster Bar. According to Yelp, this place is listed as one of the top places to eat. Despite the cold weather, we decided to sit outside because that’s where there was space. The heat lamps provided adequate warmth and we didn’t feel cold though other groups that came in later and sat down in areas where there weren’t as many heat lamps were definitely feeling the chill. I’m actually glad we sat outside though because the inside smells a whole lot like kitchen, which I’m not a huge fan of.

But back to the important stuff, like food. The food here is quite unique, flavorful, and delicious! I think my family was pleasantly surprised by some of the good flavors at this place. I thought the Mexican Poke was very unique especially served with tortilla chips. The Stuffed Mushrooms had a very interesting (though I’m not sure good) flavor to them, but the Ruben’s Special pasta was our family favorite. Another family food adventure for the win!
