[good reads] nopalito

April 9, 2017

I haven’t done it that much before, but I feel like recipe books are actually an interesting type of book to read. The best recipe books also include a back story about the recipes and history and/or anecdotes related to the foods in the recipe book. Recently, I got a chance to eat at Nopalito and found out that they are releasing a recipe book in three days (on April 11). Nopalito is all about Mexican food made with local and sustainable ingredients so their Nopalito, A Mexican Kitchen cookbook should be super exciting. I did get to glance at just a few pages thanks to a handout they had at the restaurant. I’m excited and hopefully there will be lots of stories about how they created some of the recipes and the chefs’ thinking, and their inspiration. It’s always neat to get insight into how people think and create!
