{montara state beach} waters

May 1, 2017

One of the great things about California is that all the beaches are public. And since California has an incredibly long coastline, this means there are just about a million (ok, not actually a million) beaches along the coast open for everyone to enjoy! One of these beaches is Montara State Beach between Half Moon Bay and San Francisco. I love how you have to walk through some wildflower fields to get down the cliffs separating the road from the water. The rock formations around this area are pretty neat. And even though it was a pretty windy day (as it often is along west coast beaches) it was nice and warm so many families were laying around and enjoying Northern California beach weather.

  1. I used to spend a lot of time at this beach! It’s rarely warm enough to be considered “beach weather” but it sure is beautiful!
