{davis} norcal brew tour stop 1: berryessa

June 17, 2017

The real reason I went to Sacramento over Memorial Day weekend was for a self-group-guided beer tour because Sacramento (as unassuming as it may seem) has become quite the place for breweries that seem to be popping up. On the way up to Sacramento, it was recommended that I stop in a brewery near Davis, technically in Winters, known for perhaps not much more than its very own Berryessa Brewing Co. While a bit off the beaten path, this place was hoppin’. There were so many people here even though we literally showed up about 20 minutes before closing time. There was even a live band playing and lots of company all around. Of course, my favorite was their stout, but their famous Separation Anxiety Session IPA wasn’t half bad either! What a great first stop on this northern California beer tour!
