{sf} peaches patties is jamaican

July 11, 2017

Even though I used to live in Bernal Heights and still work in Bernal Heights and there’s pretty much only one main strip in this very residential San Franciscan neighborhood, there’s still much to be discovered here. For example, I had no idea that there was a Jamaican place here!Peaches Patties specializes in Jamaican food. They’re located in kind of a food coop location with a few other food options and they seemingly work together to attract/keep customers.

My friend and I were in the Bernal area and decided to give Peaches Patties a try. We ordered the vegetarian curry that came with a soy replacement (not tofu) instead of meat and then the spinach patty (which was bigger than my hand). The curry along with the fried plantains and rainbow kale that it came with were quite delicious, but I think the spinach patty was the star. It’s flakiness was just perfect and the taste came out that much more when you added a bit of some Jamaican mango salsa! Yum!

Welcome!
